The Fairbanks
The XXIIIrd Olympiad
This original hand done serigraph print by America's Sports Artist, Rick Rush, has been titled The Fairbanks: XXIII Olympiad. This print depicts the likeness of internationally known rider Bruce Davidson. The site is the equestrian event at the Fairbanks Ranch. Prince Phillip and other officials had searched for the perfect location to host this event. They chose the Fairbanks Ranch. This was the location that former actor Douglas Fairbanks had chosen to build his dream home but never completed it before his death. Internationally known equestrian designer Neil Ayer designed the course. Rick went to visit and examine the course with Neil before beginning his work. The jump shown was named the Fairbanks and was a multilevel jump for the horse.
