Never before in the history of cycling had a rider captured seven of the grueling Tour de France Championships, much less won them in consecutive years. But Lance Armstrong made cycling history with his 1999-2005 championship streak and Rick Rush captured it in his painting "Triumphant Hour in France."
Rush’s image freezes time and space in the final day and Stage 20 of the Tour as the peloton of cyclists surrounding Armstrong peddled down the Champs Elysees toward victory in Paris. With the Arc de Triomphe in the background, some of the great cyclists of recent tours form the victorious peloton to crown Armstrong as the reigning king of the Tour de France and the cycling world. The crowded, tree-lined boulevard of Paris frames the riders, as they become a part of the drama of peddling into history with Armstrong.
Rick Rush's original oil painting of Triumphant Hour was painstakingly recreated, one color at a time, for this hand-done silk-screened original serigraph. Each serigraph is signed and numbered in pencil by America's Sports Artist, Rick Rush, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Jireh Publishing. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be returned to us in the same condition that you received it.
