"Limited Edition" refers to the fact that there is only a certain amount, or "limited" number of serigraphs printed of a specific piece of artwork.  After the edition is printed, all of the original artwork and screens used to make the print are destroyed or effaced.  This ensures that no additional prints of this image will be made in the future.  This is the opposite of an "Open Edition," where public demand determines the number of pieces included in an edition.

The limited life of the stencil prevents unlimited editions.  Additionally, variables in the process of hand-pulling serigraphs mean that each individual serigraph is slightly different from each other serigraph in the edition.  Minor deviations in color registration, paint distribution, and variations yield individual pieces that are truly "one-of-a-kind" or "original."

Rick Rush's "Record Robbin' " celebrates Robin Yount's three thousandth hit record. On Sept. 9th, Robin Yount of the Milwaukee Brewers did what only sixteen other people have ever done before. He became the seventeenth player in major league history to reach 3,000 hits.

Yount's total is enough to certainly qualify him for the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. But, he also has more extra-base hits (915) than Duke Snider and Joe Cronin who are both hall of famers. He has been voted MVP twice at two different positions, once as a centerfielder and once as a short stop. He has also led the American League in fielding percentages as both an infielder and an outfielder.

Phil Garner, Manager of the Brewers, says "He's a lock for the hall." Sports Illustrated said, "He is as pure a player as there has been in the last twenty years." So not only has Robin Yount been guilty of robbing batters of their hits from extraordinary fielding, he is now guilty of robbing the record book where his name will stand with some of the best ever to play the game.
