In his "Marathon" Serigraph, America’s Sports Artist, Rick Rush, captures the scene which takes place at the beginning of a marathon where the runners start breaking for their positions and begin establishing their strides. The names of several major marathons can be seen on the shirts of the runners. Included are: the Boston Marathon, The Peachtree Road Race, the New York Marathon, and the Chicago Road Race. The likeness of many well-known runners can also be picked out of the crowd.
